Mudra For Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy is a term used to describe a series of neurological conditions that affect movement. This is the most common form of childhood disability.

This situation hinders the movement of certain parts of the body. There are different degrees of severity.

Due to damage in parts of the brain, voluntary or involuntary movements or both may be involved.

Cerebral palsy is not infectious, does not necessarily affect intelligence or cognitive ability, and is not progressive, so it does not get worse with age. Some people find that symptoms improve over time.

People with cerebral palsy usually have a normal life expectancy and, in many cases, can expect a good quality of life.

The causes

Muscular control takes place in a part of the brain. Brain injuries before, during, or within 5 years of birth can cause cerebral palsy.

The brain is also responsible for memory, learning and communication skills. Because of this, some people with cerebral palsy have communication and learning problems. Brain damage can sometimes affect vision and hearing.

Some newborns are deprived of oxygen during labour and delivery.

In the past, it was thought that this lack of oxygen at birth caused brain damage.

In the 1980s, research showed that less than one case of cerebral palsy was due to lack of oxygen during delivery.

The damage most often occurs before birth, probably in the first six months of pregnancy.

There are at least three possible reasons for this.

Abnormal brain development

A brain development disorder can affect brain communication with muscles and other body functions.

During the first six months of pregnancy, the brain of the embryo or fetus is particularly vulnerable.

The damage can be due to mutations in the genes responsible for brain development, certain infections such as toxoplasmosis, parasitic infections, herpes and their viruses and head injuries.

Intracranial haemorrhage

Sometimes, brain haemorrhage occurs when a fetus has a stroke.

Haemorrhages in the brain can prevent blood from entering vital brain tissue, and these tissues can be damaged or killed. The escaped blood can coagulate and damage the surrounding tissue.

Several factors can cause a stroke in the fetus during pregnancy:

  • A blood clot in the placenta that blocks blood flow.
  • An alteration of the coagulation in the fetus.
  • Interruptions of arterial blood flow to the fetal brain.
  • Preeclampsia not treated in the mother.
  • Inflammation of the placenta
  • Inflammatory infection of the pelvis in the mother.
  • During labour, the risk increases due to the following factors:

Emergency cesarean section
The second phase of the work will be extended.
Vacuum extraction is used during childbirth.
Fetal or neonatal cardiac abnormalities
Abnormalities of the umbilical cord.

Anything that increases the risk of premature birth or low birth weight also increases the risk of cerebral palsy.

The factors that can contribute to an increased risk of cerebral palsy are:

  1. Multiple births, for example, twins.
  2. Damaged placenta
  3. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  4. Consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs or toxic substances during pregnancy.
  5. Malnutrition during pregnancy.
  6. Accidental malformation of the fetal brain
  7. Small basin to the mother
  8. Delivery by the screw
  9. Brain damage after birth

A small proportion of cases occur due to postpartum damage. This can be due to an infection such as meningitis, a head injury, an accident due to drowning or poisoning.

In case of damage, this occurs shortly after birth. With age, the human brain becomes more resistant and can withstand more damage.

Symptom

Cerebral palsy affects the muscles.
A baby with cerebral palsy may have muscle and movement problems, including low muscle tone. Muscle tone refers to the person’s automatic ability to tone and relax muscles as needed.

Mudra for Cerebral palsy

The practice of Gyan mudra or Vayu-vardhak mudra and Vata-kaarak mudra increases air element and Vata humor within the body.

The air element and Vata humor empowers the mind, nervous system, and brain, facilitates movements of electrical impulses along nerves.
.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood. The practice of Gyan mudra and Vata-Kaarak mudra is useful
to overcome cerebral palsy

You have to do mudras with both the hands.

Just a simple touch of the tips of the fingers is enough to get results of mudra practice.

Duration of mudra practice

45 minutes of regular practice or 15 minutes thrice a day.

Precautions
